Kosharitsa

Kosharitsa [ koʃaritsɐ ] ( Bulgarian Кошарица ) is a village in the municipality of Nessebar in Bulgaria, Oblast Burgas. The village is situated in the eastern junction of the Upper Thracian lowlands to the foothills of the Eastern Balkan Mountains. Kosharitsa is located 3 km west of the sun beach, the largest tourist resort in Bulgaria. Albena north is also not very far. To the Black Sea is 3 km away.

The old Turkish name of the village was Kaschl -Dere ( Bulg Кашлъ - дере ). He was first mentioned after the Russo -Turkish War (1877-1878) in writing, as the local Circassian left the village. After the Balkan War of 1913 and the expulsion of the Bulgarians in Thrace refugees were settled in Kosharitsa, including eight families from the Turkish Kavaklı today.

Economy

In contrast to many other Bulgarian villages, Kosharitsa developed very well since the Toutismus flourish here. In the center is a new white church and there is a new school. Towards the sun beach is a prosperous residential area that each year there continues to expand towards the sun beach. The area is called Almond Hill ( Bulg Бадемови хълмове, Eng. Almond Hills ), but only 2 hectares of almond trees left. Due to the construction boom and the resulting noble mansions it is called by the population even Beverly Hills. Until recent years, the village consisted of 10 houses and you knew everyone, whereas 50 % are foreigners now live in the village, mostly spend the whole year here.

The village has a lively nightlife. There are many hiking trails, mountain biking is possible. A golf course is currently under construction (as of Sept. 2007).

Very close to the village nature reserve Kalinata is a jungle ( Longosen Forest ). Kosharitsa is in the Natura 2000 list ( a network of protected areas in Europe) noted, because it is an important point on the bird migration route Via pontica.
