Križpolje

Križpolje ( German / Austrian cross-field ) is a village in the Lika- Senj, Croatia with 655 inhabitants. The area is part of the greater community Brinje. This location are again several hamlets ( Veliki Kut Kut Mali and Jelvica ) connected.

Geography

Križpolje is north of the agrarian Lika. Lipice is in the middle of the district Brinje. The municipality is bordered to the north by Kriz Kamenica and Jezerane westward to Stajnica and Lipice, to the south Letinac and the west by the district capital Brinje.

History

There evidence was found that the town was called up in the year 1654 Kriz.

According to the last census of 2001, the municipality has 655 inhabitants.

Attractions

The Roman Catholic "Discovery of the Holy Cross Church " in Križpolje was built in 1821. The holiday village is the Holy Cross Day on May 3, called in local language Križevo.
