Krušovice (Rakovník District)

Krušovice ( German Kruschowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located nine kilometers north-east of Rakovníka and belongs to Okres Rakovník.

Geography

Krušovice is located 379 m above sea level. M. The community area is 636 ha

Through the village in the valley of the creek Krušovický the European route 48 leads between Lubenec and Nové Strašecí. To the southeast lies the 537 m high mountain Louštín ( Lauschtin ), the highest mountain of the Džbán ( Krug Forest) in the north of Brdywaldes.

History

The place Krušovice probably originated around the year 1000., It was first mentioned in documents under Přemysl Otakar II in the second half of the 13th century at a Lehnsreichung.

The village is mainly known by the Royal Brewery Krušovice, which was first in 1581 in connection with a sale offering made ​​her owner Jiří Birka of Násile to Emperor Rudolf II, mentioned.

Other owners included the forest Steiner, in whose time the Baroque castle was built. 1733 Krušovice went by marriage to the Princely House of Fürstenberg.
