Krzemienica, Pomeranian Voivodeship

Krzemienica ( German stone forest ) is a village in Slupsk ( Stolp ) in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Geographical location

Stone Forest is located in Eastern Pomerania, about 14 kilometers west of Stolp and 119 kilometers west of the regional capital Gdańsk. Neighboring towns are small Brüskow in the east, the south and Schwulow Mützenow and Starkov in the northwest.

History

Stone Forest is a small farming village that was by settlement until the 19th century into an independent country community. In 1925 there were 43 houses in the village. 1939 were counted 43 farms and a total of 52 households. Stone Forest had a single-level elementary school that served by a single teacher, and in which one part of the school children of the United Brüskow was taught. 1932 were 32 school children in the Stone Forest to school. Stone Forest was a stop on the railway line Schlawe - Stolpmünde.

On March 8, 1945, the region was occupied by the Red Army and then put together with all Pomerania under Polish administration.

Parish

Stone Forest belonged partly to the parish of Great Brüskow and Mützenow in church Stolp City and partly to the church district Peest in church Schlawe.

Administrative structure

The place is a mayor's office in the Gmina Slupsk ( Stolp rural municipality ) in the powiat Słupski ( tripping circuit) of the Pomeranian Voivodeship.
