Krzysztof PÅ‚ywaczyk

Krzysztof Pływaczyk (born 11 February 1983) is a Polish biathlete.

Krzysztof Pływaczyk started in 2002 even without notable success at the Junior World Championships in Ridnaun and the European Junior Championships Kontiolahti at international level. In Windischgarsten he made his debut in the European Cup the following season and was 24th in the sprint. Already in the second race, a single in Obertilliach, he came in seventh for the first time among the top 10. Highlight of the season was again the Junior World Championship in Kościelisko. Here he finished tenth in the sprint. In 2004 he started in Beitostølen first time in a relay race ( 13 ) in the Biathlon World Cup. In the Biathlon World Championships 2005 in Hochfilzen, he reached with a 24th place in the individual 's best ever placing in an individual World Cup races. With the season he was eighth. Highlight Pływaczyks previous career was the participation in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. Here he started in single ( 76 ) and with the relay ( 13 ). In summer 2006, he joined Ufa at the World Championships in the summer biathlon and won the silver medal behind Maxim Chudov in pursuit.
