Krzysztof WÅ‚odarczyk

Krzysztof Włodarczyk ( born September 19, 1981 in Warsaw) is a Polish professional boxer and current WBC world cruiserweight champion.

Amateur

Włodarczyk had only a relatively short amateur career. In 1996 he became vice-champion of the Polish Cadets and won the bronze medal at the Cadet European Championships in 1997 in Bitola.

Professional career

In June 2000, he was 18- year pro. 2001 defeated the previously unbeaten Włodarczyk Italian Vincenzo Rossitto prematurely, yet he is considered to be equipped with only average power. In 2002 he won the Polish championship title at cruiserweight.

He suffered his first defeat on 26 April 2004. At an event of Universum Box-Promotion in Schwerin Sport and Congress Centre, he met Pawel Melkomian. After the fight was stopped in the fifth round due to a laceration of Russians, you evaluated from the point list. Melkomian at this time was unanimous in the ratings of the judges front, and thus the win.

In December 2003, Włodarczyk then secured the title of the WBC youth. On April 16, 2004, he met in a fight for the vacant European championship on May Rüdiger and defeated him by a co in the tenth round.

He won the title by a narrow points victory in his hometown of Warsaw on 25 November 2006.
