Kunovice (Vsetín District)

Kunovice ( German Kunowitz ) is a municipality with 644 inhabitants in the Czech Republic. It is located four kilometers south of the city Kelč in 407 m above sea. M. alternating banks of the Komarnik at the foot of the host 's mountains ( Hostýnské mountains ) and belongs to the Okres Vsetín on.

Geography

Kunovice is on the railway from Valašské Meziříčí after Holešov. Neighboring towns are Loučka the southeast, Podhradní Lhota and Komárno in the southwest, and Babice Lhota in the north and Police in the East.

History

The first mention of taking take place was in 1131 by the Olomouc Bishop Heinrich Zdik in a listing of the Diocese of ownership. 1232 is also the now extinct village Polom was performed.

Until 1726 Kunowitz was gepfarrt after Keltsch, then to 1784 after Podhradní Lhota and seithar after Loučka. On 30 May 1875, the village school was opened, had asked for the basic rule since 1823 to the establishment of the City: 1892 was the chapel and a cemetery. 1885 began the construction of the railway from Kojetin after Bílsko, and was on 1 July 1888, the station Kunovice - Loučka, located at Komarnik between both places, put into operation.

In 1985 the village was incorporated along with Police after Loučka. Since 1990 Kunovice is a separate municipality again.
