Kurt Børset

Kurt Borset (born 1973 ) is a former Norwegian ski jumper.

Borset launched in 1993 in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup. On March 5, 1994, he made ​​his debut in the World Cup Ski Jumping in Lahti and jumped to 27th place, which also won the World Cup points for the first time. On 20 March 1994, he jumped at the World Cup jumping in Planica, which at the same time the Ski Flying World Championships in 1994 represented the first time in the top ten and finished at the end of the 8th Place. He finished the World Cup season 1993/94 on the 59th place in the overall standings. In the ski flying standings, he reached the 8th place. The following season was in the Continental largely unsuccessful. By achieving 68 points, he finished only room 102 in the Continental Cup overall standings. In January and February 1995, he started again in World Cup competition in Engelberg and Vikersund, with him with the 30th place once again scored a World Cup points win in Engelberg. In the following two years he remained in the Continental without evaluable results. Only in the 1997/98 season he succeeded with 358 points and 34th place, the best result of his career in the Continental Cup overall standings. After he then again in February 1998 denied a World Cup ski flying in Vikersund and thereby came in 49th place, he ended his active international ski jumping career. At the national level, he was able to shortly after the end of World Cup season nor the Norwegian championship in team competition in Trondheim with the team Sør- Trøndelag, consisting of himself, Arve Vorvik, Håvard Lie and Roar Ljøkelsøy win.
