Kurt Großkurth

Kurt Großkurth ( born May 11, 1909 in Langenselbold near Hanau, † May 29, 1975 in Bad Aibling ) was a German actor and singer.

Biography

In the 1920s Großkurth graduated in Essen, London and Heidelberg, a hotel management training. In the early 1930s, he discovered his love for the stage and studied acting and singing. After several engagements in the province Guest appearances in Hamburg and Berlin. After the war he took an engagement with Gustaf at the Municipal Stage Dusseldorf. In the 1950 film operetta and made ​​him known throughout the country. His preference was for light comedies and operettas. Although he appeared in many films, he never played the main role. This Großkurth stood with almost all stars of the entertainment films of the time before the camera.

On television, he played in 1967 in country doctor Dr. Brock the mayor. Six years earlier (1961 ) he played alongside Erwin Linder and Monika Dahlberg a starring role in the comedy The Merry Vineyard of Zuckmayer.

Großkurth died shortly after his 66th birthday on 29 May 1975 a traffic accident. His grave site is at the ballot box wall at the cemetery in Grünwald near Munich.
