Kuźnica ( Kashubian: Kùsfeld; German: Küsfeld ) is a popular small seaside resort in northern Poland on the Baltic Sea. The citizens of Kuźnica are predominantly Kashubian. Fishing and tourism are the main sources of income of the inhabitants.

Geography

Kuźnica belongs to the city of Jastarnia powiat Pucki the Pomeranian Voivodeship on the Hel peninsula on the Puck Bay. The village is located between Chałupy and Jastarnia at one of the narrowest sections of the Hel Peninsula. Here the strip of land between the open Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Gdansk is barely 200 meters wide. In winter striker for the country to be swamped by sides of the open Baltic Sea. During a violent storm in 1983 there was a large coastal erosion, the beach line shrank by about 30 meters.

Between 1991 and 1992 began with the successful extensive and costly reconstruction of the beach. Meanwhile Kuźnica is thus better protected against violent winter storms and their destructive power.

Libek: Between Kuźnica and Jastarnia the highest dune in the Hel peninsula rises. It reaches a height of about 12.5 meters. The name comes from the ship "Lübeck" back, which most likely ascended in the 17th century on a sandbank and sank.
