Kvačany, Liptovský Mikuláš District

Kvačany (Hungarian Kvacsan - to 1888 Kvacsán ) is a town in central Slovakia near the town of Liptovsky Mikulas.

It is located in the Chočské Hills in the northern parts of Liptau.

Already in 1256, the area is referred to in a document as a " desolate ", in 1319 the place is first mentioned in writing as Kovachan.
