Kyle Chandler

Kyle Martin Chandler ( born September 17, 1965 in Buffalo, New York ) is an American actor.

Biography

Chandler grew up in a suburb of Chicago. At the age of eleven years he moved with his mother and three siblings after Loganville, Georgia. His father died early, when Chandler was still a child. He graduated from the University of Georgia in Athens in theater studies. Today he lives with his wife and two children in Austin / Texas.

Career

His first major role was played by Chandler on the ABC show Homefront early 1990. Before that he played in smaller television productions mostly supporting roles. Homefront was a drama in the 1940s in the fictional town of River Run, Ohio played. In his next TV role Chandler embodied a man who possessed the ability to change future events, in the CBS series Early Edition. In this series, he mimes the stockbroker Gary Hobson who gets tomorrow's newspaper every morning by a mysterious cat. In 1996 he received the Saturn Award for Best Actor in a Television Series for his role as Gary.

In addition, Chandler starred with Joan Cusack in the ABC comedy series What About Joan and departed from his golden boy image as a lawyer in The Lyon 's Den from. Other roles he played in series like Freddy 's Nightmares and films such as King Kong in the second season of Grey's Anatomy has Chandler also held a guest role as a bomb disposal expert. For his role alongside Christina Ricci in the consequences Code Black and The Last Day (Original Title: It 's the end of the world (as we know it) Part 1 & 2) that were sent in the U.S. right after the Super Bowl, and thus a reached audience of nearly 40 million, he not only received a lot of attention; rather, this success also an Emmy nomination earned him in 2006.

Since 2006 he plays the lead role in the critically acclaimed series Friday Night Lights, for which he won an Emmy in 2011 for Best Actor in a Drama Series.

2011 Kyle Chandler landed a starring role as a police officer in the sci-fi movie Super 8 In 2013, he starred in The Wolf of Wall Street at the side of Leonardo DiCaprio an FBI agent.
