Friday Night Lights (TV series)

Friday Night Lights is an American television series based on the book and the film of the same name. Peter Berg, the director of the film, is responsible for the development of the series. The series, which comes to a total of five seasons, was shown from 2006 to 2011 on the U.S. television network NBC. In Germany TNT series Friday Night Lights shone from 2009 to 2013.

Action

Dillon is a fictional small town in Texas, their pride and joy, the high school football team Dillon Panthers is that Friday night has its games. Eric Taylor is the new coach of the Dillon Panthers. Publication

In the U.S., Universal Pictures released the DVDs of the seasons. According to Universal Pictures Germany In Germany the series will appear only after a broadcast on free TV the DVDs. However no German free-TV channels has been found, the Friday Night Lights will air.

Awards

Friday Night Lights won the 2007 Emmy Award for Best Casting of a Drama Series. In addition to other Emmy nominations, especially for the casting, won the 2011 series an Emmy for best screenplay as well as a sequence with Kyle Chandler Emmy Award for the best male actor from a drama series. From the American Film Institute in 2006, 2007 and 2009 series was named television program of the year.
