Taylor Kitsch

Taylor Kitsch ( born April 8, 1981 in Kelowna, British Columbia) is a Canadian film and television actor.

Life and career

Taylor Kitsch played in his first youth hockey at the " Langley Hornets " in the BCHL. In 2002 he suffered a serious knee injury and had to end his athletic career. He moved to New York and studied acting at the IMG. During this time he worked simultaneously as a model among other things for Abercrombie & Fitch and diesel and also trained as a nutritionist and personal trainer.

From 2004 to 2006 he was at Untitled Entertainment, an American film company under contract. In 2007 he signed with WME Agency.

He played from 2006 to 2011, the role of Tim Riggins in the Emmy -nominated NBC series Friday Night Lights, which was inspired by the film from the year 2004. For this role he was nominated for a Teen Choice Award in both 2007 and 2008.

In February 2008, Kitsch for the role of the mutant Gambit signed in the comic book adaptation X -Men Origins: Wolverine. The spin-off to the X -Men trilogy (2000-2006) tells the history of the X -Men Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman. "
