La Vallée, Sud-Est
La Vallée- de - Jacmel is a municipality in the South-East department at the south coast of Haiti between Jacmel ( in Arrondissement de Jacmel ) and Bainet. It lies about 11 km west of Jacmel.
She had more than 36,000 inhabitants before the earthquake of 2010. The local Catholic church is named after St. John the Baptist ( Saint -Jean -Baptiste ).
La Vallée- de - Jacmel is the birthplace of the first coming from Haiti cardinal Chibly Langlois, who is bishop of Les Cayes.
The name also appears in the notation La Vallee de Jacmel and without the addition La Vallée, on Creole Lavale.
