Łąka Prudnicka

Łąka Prudnicka ( German: Counts meadow) is a village in the Polish province of Opole, part of the gmina Prudnik. It extends in the valley of Złoty Potok.

History

The village was named by the end of the 19th century meadow Counts before it was renamed in Counts meadow. It was in the year 1900 2.085 inhabitants and damask weaving as the main economic activities.

In the 15th century a castle was built in the village. From the 16th century until 1825 it belonged to the family of Mettich. Today it is a ruin.
