Lake Pyaozero

Pjaosero (Russian Пяозеро, Finnish Pääjärvi ) is a 659 km ² large lake in the Republic of Karelia in northwestern Russia.

In the lake there are a number of islands. Your land area adds up to 186 km ². The lake lies at an altitude of 101 m.

The south lake in Toposero fed with his drain the Pjaosero. Another major tributary is the Olanga. This forms the outflow of the west with the lake Paanajärvi. With its source river, Oulankajoki, the river drains the regions beyond the Russian-Finnish border.
