Lake Seydozero
The Seidosero (Russian Сейдозеро, kildinsamisch: Seidjawwr ) is a lake in the west of the Kola Peninsula in Russia's Murmansk Oblast.
The 8 km long lake is surrounded by the horseshoe-shaped mountain range of the Lovozero Tundra. Its width varies between 1.5 and 2.5 km. The lake is 10.9 km ². The lake lies at an altitude of 189 m. The outflow Seidjawrjok ( Сейдъяврйок ) drains the Seidosero in an easterly direction to the nearby Lovozero. Thus, the Seidosero is in the catchment area of the Woronja that flows to the Barents Sea.
The Seename means in the language of seeds " holy lake ".
