Lake Waikaremoana

The Lake Waikaremoana is a lake in Te Urewera National Park, on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island. It was created 2200 years ago by a landslide, by the Waikaretaheke River was dammed. Along its southern and western shores of Lake Waikaremoana Great Walk runs, one of the New Zealand Great Walks.
