Lambeth North tube station

Lambeth North is an underground station of the London Underground in the London Borough of Lambeth. It is located in the Travelcard Zone 1 at Westminster Bridge Road. In the year 2011 there were 3.5 million passengers these from the Bakerloo Line Station. The Imperial War Museum is a few hundred meters away.

The Baker Street and Waterloo Railway, the predecessor company of the Bakerloo Line, the station adopted on March 10, 1906 under the name Kennington Road in operation. Almost five months here was the southern terminus until the line was extended to Elephant & Castle on August 5, 1906. On this day, it was renamed the station in Westminster Bridge Road. On 15 April 1917 the station was given its present name in Lambeth North. From 9 November 1996 to 14 July 1997, it was closed for remodeling.

Designed by the architect Leslie Green station has two elevators and a spiral staircase down to the platforms; these are located about 25 meters below the surface.
