Lamin Kaba Bajo

Lamin Kaba Bajo (also Lamin Bajo, born November 10, 1964 in Brikama ) was a Secretary of the West African nation of Gambia.

Life

Bajo went to finishing school in April 1984 to the military. He reached the rank of Commander in the military police. Later he served the State House as a member of the presidential guard until the military coup of 1994 under the Armed Forces Provisional Ruling Council ( AFPRC ), which was led by the current President Yahya Jammeh. After that, he was for five months Commissioner of the Western Division.

In 1995 he was appointed by the Secretary of the Interior and Minister AFPRC of Religious Affairs in the government until 1997. Later he became Minister of Youth, Sports and after March 1998 as Minister for Communities and Land Management. In 2002 he was appointed ambassador to Saudi Arabia and was eliminated from the Cabinet from.

On 24 October 2005 he became Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Gambia and served in that office until 19 October 2006. He was replaced as part of a reshuffle of Maba Jobe. As a Gambian ambassador to Iran, he was accredited in February 2007.

Him the Ministry of Fisheries, Water Resources and Affairs of the National Assembly (English Ministery of Fisheries, Water Resources and National Assembly Matters ) was transferred on 4 February 2010 and replaced Antouman Saho.

Bajo is also representative of the Gambia in the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) (May 2004). He is married to Mariama Bajo and has children.
