Lana Gordon
Lana J. Gordon ( * in New London, Connecticut ) is an American singer.
Life
Lana Gordon came in 1989 to New York City and studied dance at the Alvin Ailey School on a scholarship. Later, she was asked if she would like to join the selection Ensemble under the direction of Sylvia Waters. Lana was more than 3 1/2 years in the company before 1992, another dance selection named Donald Bird The / Group joined. In summer 1994, she worked as a solo artist for three years in Japan. In the same year she played Dionne in the European tour in the musical Hair, directed by James Rado.
1997 graduated Lana made her Broadway debut in the original cast of the musical The Lion, where she played in the ensemble and as an understudy for Nala and Shenzi king. After 2 1/2 years she left The Lion King and played the role of Soul Sister in the Broadway musical Jesus Christ Superstar. Not more than 6 months after she had left The Lion King, Disney asked if she does not want to come back and offered her the role of Shenzi. Lana played this role then more than two years. In 2003 she took the role of Anita in West Side Story European tour to under the direction of Joey McKneely. Recently she started her career as a solo artist in Europe. During all this time she was in demand as a model for the U.S. advertising, such as film and print. 2009 played Lana in the Disney musical Tarzan in Hamburg Neue Flora theater, the role of Kala. She also sang the song Child in Time for the Alternative Hair Show
