Lantillac

Lantillac ( Breton: Lantilieg; Gallo: Lantiliau ) is a commune with 301 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Morbihan in the Brittany region. It belongs to the Local Government Association, Josselin Communauté.

Geography

Lantillac located in the center of Brittany in the north of the department of Morbihan and belongs to the Pays de Josselin.

Neighboring municipalities are Pleugriffet in the north, Guégon in the northeast and east, the south and Buléon Radenac in the West.

The town is near by roads for inter-regional traffic. The D764 Josselin after Pontivy to two kilometers to the north by the municipality, the N24 from Lorient to Rennes runs five kilometers south of Lantillac.

The major bodies of water are the streams Ruisseau de la Ville and Ruisseau du Vieux Moulin. Along these waterways run the western, northern and eastern town limits.

Demographics

History

Lantillac is first mentioned in 1448 under the name commonly used today. The municipality belongs to the historic region of Brittany Bro - Gwened (French Vannetais ) and within this region to region Reter Bro Gwened (French Vannetais oriental ) and shares his story. From 1801 until its dissolution on 10 September 1926, she was part of the arrondissement Ploërmel. From 1793 until its dissolution in 1801 Lantillac belonged to the Canton Reguiny.
