Laughlin River Run

The Laughlin River Run is an annual held in Laughlin, Nevada event the biker scene. After the Daytona Beach Bike Week and the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, it is the third largest event of its kind in the United States.

History

The meeting was first held in 1983. It was organized by the two Harley -Davidson dealers Dale Marschke and Joe O'Day. At this first meeting, 426 motorcyclists involved. The meeting grew continuously and reached its high-water mark with more than 75,000 participants mid-2000s. From about 2006, the number of participants went back and dropped to about 43,000 participants. Currently, there are about 43,000 participants. The event will take place in April and attracts many members of Outlaw Motorcycle gangs to. The event lasts for five days and includes the usual components of a motorcycle meeting, so a dealer mile, concerts of famous stars such as ZZ Top, Jonny Lang or Warrant, strip shows, shared rides, stunt shows and competitions in different disciplines.

Gained notoriety the meeting by the Laughlin River Run Riot in the night of 26 to 17 April 2002 where there was a mass brawl between the Hells Angels and the Mongols MC, which claimed the lives of three men.

Attractive as a venue makes the high density of Laughlin casinos and the associated accommodation facilities in hotels. For several years, the event is organized by the organizer Dal -Con Promotions. On the four days also is collecting donations. So come together annually about 50,000 United States dollars, which are managed by the Laughlin River Run Foundation.
