Laura Gibson

Laura Gibson ( * in Coquille, Oregon) is an American singer-songwriter of alternative country.

Biography

Laura Gibson grew up in the state of Oregon and worked as a youth high jump champion of their state. Later she studied at Linfield College in Portland. Since 2004 she has published self-written and selbstgetextete " artful, contemplative folk songs she intones to acoustic guitar and soft orchestration with warm vocals."

Laura Gibson has released three solo albums, two EPs and an album together with the electronic musician Ethan Rose. When recording their songs it was supported, among others, Rachel Blumberg, Nate Query, Adam Selzer, Laura Veirs and Danny Seim. In addition, she appeared as a guest musician on albums by The Decemberists, The Dodos, Colin Meloy, and Musee Mecanique. She was also with Juana Molina, Damien Jurado and Alela Diane on tour.

Laura Gibson lives in Portland.
