Laura Rus

Laura Rus (born 1 October 1987) is a Romanian football player who in the Danish first division club Fortuna Hjørring is since July 2013 under contract and is active for the Romanian national team.

Career

Clubs

From 2007 to 2010 and in the first half of 2011, she played for Sporting de Huelva in the Spanish Superliga Femenina. In between, in the second half of 2010, and again since the summer of 2011 she is part of the team of Apollon Limassol. The end of 2011, she participated in a trial with English club Everton LFC. In the Champions League season 2011/12 she was leading scorer with seven goals Limassol, also behind the Frenchwoman Camille Abily and Eugénie Le Sommer third best scorer of the whole competition. The following season she could with eleven goals even secure the title of top scorer in the competition.

In July 2013 Russia joined the Danish first division club Fortuna Hjørring.

National

Rus played for the U-19 selection in Romania and is since 2007 part of the Romanian national team.
