Lauren Etame Mayer

Lauren Bisan - Etame Mayer ( born January 19, 1977 in Kribi ), known as Lauren, is a former Cameroonian football player.

Career

The man from Cameroon began his career at FC Utrera. In 1996 he came into the first team of FC Sevilla in Spain. In 1997 he moved to UD Levante where he remained until 1998. He played the next two years at RCD Mallorca before moving to Arsenal in 2000 and stayed for six and a half years.

After an injury he suffered in January 2006, lost his place as a Fullback on the younger Emmanuel Eboue and finally moved in January 2007 to Portsmouth, where he played from then on the right of midfield.

Lauren played 25 internationals for the Cameroon national football team. He participated in the FIFA World Cup in 1998 and 2002.
