Laurie Holden

Heather Laurie Holden ( born December 17, 1969, or 1972 in Los Angeles, California) is an American- Canadian actress.

Life

Laurie Holden is the daughter of actor Glenn Corbett (1922-1997) and Adrienne Ellis ( b. 1944 ). Holden spent her first year at McGill University, where she studied economics and political science. She moved to the University of California, Los Angeles, where she completed her Bachelor of Arts in theater arts.

Her first role was in 1980 in the mini-series The Martian Chronicles, the The Martian Chronicles Ray Bradbury's based on. Other roles followed as of 1986, they joined with small roles in films, television movies and television series. For her guest role in an episode of the crime series Due South Holden was nominated for the 1996 Gemini Award in the category Best Female Guest Role in a Television Series ( Best Performance by an Actress in a Guest Role in a Dramatic Series ).

More awareness reached Holden with their recurring supporting role of Marita Covarrubias in the television series The X-Files - The Files.
