Lawrence Bender

Lawrence Bender ( born October 17, 1957 in the Bronx, New York City ) is an American film producer and co-founder of the production company A Band Apart, along with director Quentin Tarantino.

Life

Bender was the general public known as a producer of films like Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and Good Will Hunting. He has his own production company called Lawrence Bender Productions in Hollywood, California.

In addition, Bender had several small cameo appearances in films, which he self-produced, so to take, for example, the police officer who tried in Reservoir Dogs Mr. Pink, a customer in the restaurant scene from Pulp Fiction, a hotel secretary in Kill Bill Vol 2 and a long-haired yuppie in Four Rooms.

Since May 2005 Bender regularly written texts in the blog of The Huffington Post.

For Pulp Fiction Bender award in 1995 at the Independent Spirit Awards in the Best Feature category. In addition, he was nominated for an Oscar.

Since 2013 developed Bender, the former ballet dancer, as a producer, together with the screenwriter Moira Walley - Beckett for the cable channel Starz Flesh and Bone, a gritty drama series about ballet.
