Lawrence Bossidy

Lawrence A. ( " Larry " ) Bossidy ( born March 5, 1935 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts) is an American manager and author.

Life

After attending high school, he studied economics at Colgate University ( BA 1957). He was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon. He then made ​​his Doctor of Humane Letters. He then worked at General Electric. From 1979 to 1981 he was CEO of General Electric Credit Corporation. From 1991 to 1999 he was Chairman and CEO of AlliedSignal Corporation. He was Chairman of the Honeywell Corporation in 1999. From 1997 to 1999 he was also Chairman of the Business Council. In 2002 he was co-author (along with Ram Charan ) of the bestseller Execution: The Discipline of Getting Things Done. Currently he is a director of Merck & Co.. He lives in Ridgefield, Connecticut.
