Lawrence James McNamara

Lawrence James McNamara (* August 5, 1928 in Chicago, USA, † 17 December 2004 Grand Iceland, Nebraska ) was Bishop of Grand Iceland.

Life

Lawrence James McNamara Archbishop Quigley Preparatory Seminary attended. McNamara studied Catholic theology and philosophy at the seminary in St. Paul and at the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. He received on 30 May 1953, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On January 10, 1978 Pope Paul VI appointed him. Bishop of Grand Iceland. The Archbishop of Omaha, Daniel Eugene Sheehan, gave him on 28 March of the same in the St. Peter Cathedral in Chains in Cincinnati episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Kansas City -Saint Joseph, John Joseph Sullivan, and the Bishop Emeritus of Kansas City -Saint Joseph, Charles Herman helmet Sing.

On 14 October 2004, Pope John Paul II accepted the Lawrence James McNamara put forward reasons of age resignation.
