Lawrence (TTC)

Lawrence is an underground subway station in Toronto. It lies on the Yonge- University - Spadina line of the Toronto Subway, at the intersection of Yonge Street and Lawrence Avenue. The station, which has a central platform, is used daily by an average of 22,230 passengers (2009 /10).

It offers connecting flights to four bus lines that run from a similarly located underground bus station. A special feature is that the access tunnel be driven on left-hand traffic to the bus station. In the vicinity is Lawrence Park, one of the most affluent neighborhoods in Toronto. The opening of the station on 31 March 1973 in conjunction with the section Eglinton - York Mills.
