Baldwin, the terror of Saint- Tropez ( original title: Le Gendarme en balade ) is a French comedy film from 1970 with Louis de Funès. The film was shown in France on October 28, 1970 for the first time. In Germany it was released in theaters on April 10, 1971.

Action

Gendarme Ludovic Cruchot will retire with his men because of insufficient motivation by the Ministry prematurely. They are replaced by younger colleagues. After six months of boredom Cruchot receives from his former superior Gerber and his wife visit. A little later, another ex-colleague of Ludovic comes to visit and tells the two that Fougasse, also a member of the brigade, his memory was lost.
