Leandro Ribela

Leandro de Carvalho Pinto Ribela ( born March 22, 1980 in São Paulo) is a Brazilian biathlete and cross-country skiers.

Leandro Ribela lives in São Paulo and starts for the EC Pinheiros. He is coached by Johan Hagstrom. At twelve, he began touring, in 2005 he began the sport of biathlon. He denied a year later in Obertilliach kicked off the Biathlon European Cup 2006/ 07 with a sprint race, which he finished as the 127, its first international race. Best results in this series was a 15th place in a pursuit race in Bansko, which he reached in 2009. In the Biathlon European Championships 2007 in Bansko Ribela participated in his first major event in the biathlon. It was also the first and so far the only, part of a Brazilian in such an event at all. He reached the 66 places in the sprint and 61 in the pursuit and thus was second to last and last races.

First international assignments Ribela ran cross-country skiing since 2007 and 2008 in FIS races. In Liberec, he participated in the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009. In the freestyle sprint he came in at number 117, the pursuit race he could not finish as lapped athlete. Career highlight was participating in the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, where Ribela came about 15 -kilometer freestyle to use and there reached the 90th place.
