Lectionary 4

Lectionary 4 (referred to the numbering of Gregory -Aland as sigla ℓ 4) is a Greek manuscript of the New Testament on parchment leaves. Using palaeography, it has been dated to the 11th century.

Description

The Code contains lessons of the Gospels ( Evangelistarium ). It is described in Greek Minuskelhandschrift on 199 parchment leaves ( 27.9 × 22.3 cm). Each side has 2 columns with 24 lines.

The manuscript contains a Synaxarion and a martyrology. The verses from John 8:3-11 (Jesus and the adulteress ) are omitted.

The Lektionoar was investigated by John Mill.
