Lee Chang-ho

Lee Chang -ho (born 29 July 1975) is a Korean Go professional.

With 8 years, he became a student of Cho Hun - hyeon, one of the most successful Go player of all time. At age 11, he was the second youngest go pro after his teacher, with 14 years followed his first professional title.

In 1990, he won the Kuksu title, one of the most prestigious tournaments in Korea. In 1992 he was the first victory in an international tournament against Rin Kaiho. From 1990 to 1992 he sat in numerous battles against his teacher Cho Hun Hyeon through and thus became the strongest players in Korea.

As the world's best player, he was recognized when he won the decisive victory in 1996-98 against the leading Chinese professional Go- Ma Xiaochun. In 1997 he was awarded his doctorate for 9th Dan, Dan the highest degree in Go.

To this day, he has maintained the position as the strongest player in the world, although he is beset by some Korean teenagers as Yi Se Tol and Choi Cheol Han.

Approximately 115 tournament victories, including 17 international tournaments (world record, there are only three other people who have won more than two international titles ).
