Leelee Sobieski

Leelee Sobieski ( born June 10, 1983 in New York City as Liliane Rudabet Gloria Elsveta Sobieski ) is an American actress and film producer Franco- Polish origin.

Life and career

Father Jean Sobieski is a painter and her mother Elisabeth writer.

Sobieski was discovered at a casting, which took place at their school in New York City. Since then she appeared in commercials and on television, later followed first film roles. You now owns a production company and has worked as a film producer.

For her performance in the role of Joan of Arc in the television miniseries Joan of Arc - The woman of the millennium Sobieski was awarded a Young Star Award and a Young Hollywood Award for " Superstar of Tomorrow " in 1999. She also received numerous other nominations, including in 1999 for an Emmy Award as well as 2000 for a Golden Globe. For her role in the film Here on Earth in 2000 she was nominated for a Teen Choice Award. In 2002, she was for her role in the television drama Uprising - Uprising once again nominated for a Golden Globe. In 2009 she received two nominations for the Razzie as worst supporting actress for her performances in the films 88 minutes, and of the King - A Dungeon Siege Tale. In 2012 she stood next to Max von Sydow in the Russian science- fiction thriller Branded front of the camera.

Since 16 December 2009 Sobieski mother is a daughter. Father is the designer Adam Kimmel.
