Leire Pajín

Leire Pajín Iraola ( born September 16, 1976 in San Sebastián) is a Spanish PSOE politician. She was from October 2010 to December 2011 Minister for Health and Social Affairs in the Cabinet Zapatero II

1983 her family moved to Benidorm, where their parents engaged in local politics. Pajín studied sociology at the University of Alicante. She was chairman of the NGO Solidaridad Internacional. In the Spanish general elections 2000, she settled in as youngest Member in the national parliament. On the occasion of the 35th Congress of the PSOE, she was appointed in July 2000 to the party secretary for non-governmental organizations and social movements. From this position, she moved in 2004 to the Secretary of State for International Cooperation. This they had to 2008, serving as she was appointed to the 37th Party Congress to the secretary for organization and coordination of the PSOE, an office, which is about that of a General in the German parties. In the cabinet reshuffle on 21 October 2010, she joined the succession Trinidad Jiménez ' as Minister for Health and Social Affairs.
