Lem Dobbs

Lem Dobbs ( born December 24, 1959 in Oxford, England as Lem Kitaj ) is a British- American screenwriter. He became famous by the film The Limey. His self-chosen last name he borrowed a character which is played in the movie The Treasure of the Sierra Madre Humphrey Bogart.

Life and career

He is the son of the painter RB Kitaj.

1979 Dobbs wrote their own screenplay, entitled Edward Ford, the though got a lot of praise, but was not processed until today in a movie.

From the 1980s several of his screenplays have been filmed, including Deadly hiding place, the hard way, Kafka and The Limey. His most famous film is Romancing the Stone with Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner. He also co-wrote the screenplays for Dark City and The Score.

Dobbs and his wife Dana force three sons.
