Lena Wermelt

Lena Wermelt ( born September 29, 1990 in Steinfurt ) is a German football player. The defender plays for Bundesliga side SV Herford, to 2010, she also played in the U-20 national team.

Career

Growing up is Lena Wermelt in Horstmar, where she was motivated by her neighbors to play football. She began her career at Germania Horstmar and moved to Westphalia empty later.

In the season 2006/2007 Wermelt played with the FFC Heike Rheine first time in the Bundesliga, but dismounted. She then moved back to the Bundesliga for SG Wattenscheid 09 and went with this team from again.

For the 2008/ 09 season, she nevertheless remained at the relegated club. She hoped to be able to develop their skill level as an improved position within the team, that they will also master player of the German national football team and can participate in the 2010/2011 World Cup. Main motive for doing so, however, was the desire not to have to change again and from school. However, for the 2009/10 season, she joined the club and signed a two -year contract with FCR 2001 Duisburg.

After she had come in the first season only five times for Duisburg in the Bundesliga for use (including four off the bench ), Wermelt after a year on the Bundesliga's newly Herford SV.

The first international match for a German national, she completed on 21 May 2005. Prior to the 2010 World Cup in Germany it was deleted from the levy of the U-20 national team.
