Lennart Wass

Lennart Wass (* 1953 in Södermalm ) is a Swedish football coach.

Career

Wass ' coaching career was back behind his family life. He recalled that in 1989 his hometown Stockholm exit towards Gotland to take care of the third division Visby IF Gute, but returned at the end of the year. A short time later, he received an offer from the Stockholm clubs Djurgårdens IF, Tommy Söderberg to inherit as a coach. With the team to Stephan Kullberg, Jens Fjellström, Glenn Schiller and Anders Almgren he missed in the 1990 season in fifth championship finals only just, in the following year he was with the club in the enlarged finals also fifth. He sat down on the memory of the trailer, on the one hand the cup final with a 4-1 win against BK Hacken and the other in a league game, a 9-1 success was achieved in the local derby against Hammarby IF. However, he left the club after two seasons.

A change to Norway to Molde FK burst because Wass decided due to his family against going abroad. Subsequently, he worked both as a teacher and the other hand was working as a supervisor in the Youth and Amateur Football Committee. After his last coaching position had been in the adult range at FC Café Opera, he had taken over the leadership of the youth team of the Stockholm district, together with the former footballer Tommy Davidsson 2007.

In November 2009, Wass was introduced as coach at Djurgårdens IF to work together with the previous coach Andrée Jeglertz as a duo. A short time later Jeglertz announced, however, no longer wanting to work in a duo and left the club. Had Wass initially thought of Davidsson as a partner, he decided after a veto by the club's management for the former youth coach of Hammarby IF Carlos Banda. Had the club managed in the previous year only in the relegation matches in the league, he reached with the team to Johan Oremo, Sebastian Rajalakso, Kennedy Igboananike Sharbel Touma and in the 2010 to tenth place in the standings. After six games without a win at the start of the following season, the club parted early May of him and Magnus Pehrsson certain to be his successor.
