Leonardo Nierman

Leonardo M. Nierman ( born November 1, 1932 in Mexico City) is a Mexican artist.

He is mostly known for his colorful oil paintings. In addition, he also creates sculptures and vases.

Life

In his youth he was very interested in violin, math and science. In 1951 he joined the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México from with a degree in physics and mathematics. This scientific and musical background is also found in many of his pictures, which include geometric shapes and a kind of " mathematical straightness ".

In 1969, the price of him Palme d'Or des Beaux Arts was awarded in Monaco. Leonardo Nierman was exhibited around the world in a variety galleries and museums, among other things, his works can be found in the Tel Aviv Museum of Art in Israel and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts.
