Features

Macroscopic characteristics

The dünnfleischige hat is 4-8 cm wide, hemispherical young, later expanded bell-like to flat and dull hunched. The surface is covered whitish- cream color with small, pale brownish to ocher, woolly scales. The clearly defined center is pale brownish and velvety - smooth. The edge is draped in young fruit bodies with white Velumresten.

The forced standing, white lamellae are free, the cutting flaky and the spore powder white to creamy yellow.

The fragile, hollow stem is 5-10 cm long and 0.3-1 cm wide. He is at first whitish, in age more yellowish or pale brownish and under the vague, fuzzy ring zone woolly - tomentose to woolly - scaly. The stem base is dark brownish in color and sometimes slightly thickened bulbous. The thin, soft flesh is white and smells slightly fruity and spicy to slightly luminous gas -like. It tastes mild to scratching and disgusting.

Microscopic characteristics

The spores are 12-17 microns long and 4-6.5 microns wide. In the hat skin boasts long, hair -like hyphae.

Artabgrenzung

The screen Ling is not easy to determine and is probably often confused with related species. The similar species include among others the radish - screen Ling ( Lepiota erminea ), the False wool stem - screen Ling ( Lepiota clypeolarioides ) and the Gelbwollige Schirmling ( Lepiota magnispora )

Ecology

The fruiting body usually appear from August to October in deciduous, more rarely in mixed forests. Especially liked the fungus grows in base-rich beech forests. One often finds the all fairly frequent and widespread Schirmling on roadsides.

Dissemination

The Wollstielige Schirmling is a cosmopolitan and was detected on all continents. He was found in Australia, New Zealand and Asia ( India, Nepal, from the Caucasus to Siberia, Mongolia, North and South Korea and Japan), as well as in North (USA, Canada and Mexico) and South America ( Chile). Evidence, there are also from North Africa (Algeria and Morocco). In Europe, the Parasol mushroom is widely used and probably missing only in the northernmost parts of Europe. In Norway you can find the Schirmling to the 70th degree of latitude, and in Sweden to the 69th degree of latitude. In the Benelux countries, the screen Ling is rare in England, he is absent-minded and is very rare to the north. For Northern Ireland there are only a few certificates and in Ireland (Republic ), he still could not be detected so far. In Germany the wool stem Schirmling is fairly common in the German low mountain areas in the lowlands it is found only along the stream valleys of the North German Plain it is missing widely. In the Alpine countries, Liechtenstein, Austria and Switzerland, the fungus is through frequent.

Importance

The Wolliggestiefelte Schirmling is not edible mushroom.
