Lepista

Blewit ( Lepista nuda )

The Rötelritterlinge or Röteltrichterlinge ( Lepista ) are generally medium to large, fleshy fungi of the order of the mushroom -like, appearing quite numerous, especially in autumn. They are from the habit forth between knights Lingen Lingen and funnel. What is striking is the formation of the sometimes quite large fairy rings with them. They do not form mycorrhiza.

Features

Macroscopic characteristics

The hat is curved spread over up to funnel-shaped, the surface is smooth. The hat color ranges from purple, bluish, gray to brown meat. Stick and hat are very meaty. The blades are either lobed ( Rötelritterlinge ) or decurrent ( Röteltrichterlinge ). You are i.d.R. easily removable. The individual species often have a typical smell, the taste is often associated with a sweet component. The spore powder color is pink, cream yellow, rarely whitish.

Microscopic characteristics

The spores are slightly warty, cyanophil and inamyloid. The fertile blades cutting have no cystidia. The hyphal septa have buckles.

Species delimitation

Toadstools are not known under the Rötelritterlingen. However, there is a likelihood of confusion with venomous species of other genera, such as the Fragrant Trichterling and Tiger Tricholoma.

The Rötelritterlinge can be especially confused with similar funnel Lingen Lingen or knight. The most important distinguishing feature is the light at the Rötelritterlingen or Röteltrichterlingen detachable from the hat lamellae and often colored pink spore powder.

Similarly, the plate warmers, bitterlings ( Clitopilus, Syn Rhodocybe ). These are much less common and usually smaller in stature. They usually have a mealy smell and bitter taste, and belong to the family Rötlingsverwandte ( Entolomataceae ). So they have a clear pink to red spore powder.

Ecology

As Saprobionten they grow like in deciduous and coniferous litter or in the grass, always on the ground and never on undecomposed wood.
