Geography
The source of Leppe located in the municipality Marie Heath, about 500 m southwest of the town Stülinghausen at an altitude of 358 m above sea level. NN. From here it flows primarily in southwestern direction. Their path leads past Däinghausen, Kotthausen, Himmer kusen, Hüttenermühle, Jedinghagen and sub Erlinghagen. From Kaiserau the Leppe flows primarily to the south, passes by Bickenbach and ends after 19 km at 122 m above sea angel churches. NN in the Agger. On their way from the source to the mouth it overcomes 236 meters of altitude, which corresponds to an average bed slope of 12.4 ‰.

Economy
Throughout Leppetal settled in the 17th century cottages and hammer works on. By 1800 there were 25 driven by the water power of the Leppe stretching, scythes and hammers band.
