Les Droites (French for " The Right" ) is a 4000 m high mountain in the Mont Blanc massif in the French Alps. He is the lowest four peaks in the Alps.

The mountain has two summits:

  • West summit ( 3,984 m), first climbed by WAB Coolidge, Christian and Ulrich Almer son on July 6, 1876.
  • East summit ( 4,000 m), first climbed by Thomas Middlemore, John Oakley Maund and Henri Cordier with the leaders Johann Jaun and Andreas Maurer on August 7, 1876.

The north face of the mountain rises from about 2,800 m from the Argentière basin with an average slope of 60 degrees and is the steepest wall on the six-mile ridge between the Aiguille Verte and Mont Dolent. The wall was first climbed on July 31, 1930 the central couloir on the northeast flank by Bobi ARSANDAUX and Jacques Lagarde. According to Reinhold Messner they considered " the wildest among the Alps walls. " You wanted to expand the circle of the " Great north faces of the Alps" from six to seven, so you would have to initially consider the Droites North Face.
