Les Musiciens du Louvre • Grenoble is a French ensemble of historical performance practice (Original Sound Ensemble ), headquartered in Grenoble.

" Les Musiciens du Louvre " was founded in 1982 by the bassoonist Marc Minkowski, who heads the ensemble until today. Starting in 1987, the ensemble was known throughout Europe thanks to several record prices. While they specialized in the initial phase of baroque and classical music, one turns now also romantic composers such as Offenbach, Berlioz and Bizet. The various concert master of the ensemble were Andrea Keller, Patrick Bismuth, Fabio Biondi, Alice Pierrot, Anton Steck, Florian Deuter and now Thibault Noally.

Opened in 1992, the Ensemble Baroque Music Festival of Versailles with the opera " Armide " by Gluck. In 1993 she opened the new opera house in Lyon Phaeton by Lully, the same year she received a " Gramophone Award " for the best Baroque vocal recording with the oratorio " San Giovanni Battista " by Stradella.

At the Salzburg Festival in 2009 presented " Les Musiciens du Louvre " a Haydn cycle in the Summer Riding School.

Since 1996 the ensemble has also taken because of the financial support from the City, based in Grenoble, after it merged with the local instrumental ensemble.
