Lesław Ćmikiewicz

Lesław Ćmikiewicz ( born August 25, 1948 in Wrocław, Poland ) is a former Polish footballer and coach.

The midfielder played the majority of his career at Slask Wroclaw and Legia Warszawa. In 1980 he moved to the United States. Here he played in the clubs Arrow New York and Chicago Horizon. He clocked up 57 caps for Poland. After his playing career Ćmikiewicz worked as an assistant coach at Legia Warszawa, then as head coach at Motor Lublin, Stal Rzeszów, Gornik Zabrze, Hutnik Krakow, Pogoń Szczecin, Warsaw and Gwardia RKS Radomsko. From 1989 to 1993 he was under Andrzej Strejlau assistant coach of the Polish national team. From 1999 to 2001 he was the coach of the Polish national U21 team. In 2003 and 2004 he was co - manager of Amica Wronki. He is currently assistant coach at Cracovia Kraków.
