Lester Carney

Lester Carney ( Lester Nelson " Les " Carney, born March 31, 1934 in Bellaire, Ohio ) is a retired American sprinter.

At the Pan American Games in 1959 in Chicago he won the silver medal in the 200 -meter run.

In 1960, he was the same distance U.S. runners-up and won at the Olympic Games in Rome with his personal best time of 20.6 s silver behind the Italian Livio Berruti ( 20.5 s ) and before the French Abdoulaye Seye ( 20.7 s ).
