Lester Thurow

Lester Carl Thurow ( born May 7, 1938 in Livingston, Montana) is an American economist. He is the author of several popular books, the focus especially complex issues of economic developments in the major economies such as America, Europe, Japan and China.

Life

Thurow studied economics at Williams College and philosophy at Balliol College, Oxford. Subsequently, he obtained his doctorate in 1964 in economics at Harvard University. He taught for many years at the prestigious Sloan School of Management, which is affiliated with the Boston MIT and served there as Dean; He also worked as an economic adviser to several U.S. presidents, at least since his bestseller "The future of capitalism " as the most important thinkers of future globalization strategies.

Lester Thurow sits on the Board of Directors ( Board ) of the company Analog Devices, Grupo Casa Autrey, and E-Trade. He also works as a business columnist for publications like the Boston Globe, USA Today, formerly of the New York Times ( as its co-editor, he served ) and Newsweek.
